August long weekend in 2009 saw us open the house and garden as part of the National Open Garden Scheme. Over 300 through the place in two days. It also marked a change for us. This was the last event where we would fuss and clean. It had been 18 months of photo shoots, jury visits, etc so from now on if the door is open you’re more than welcome to call in and have a look, but you’ll find there will be cobwebs and jobs to be done.
